This is an old revision of the document!
1. Navigate to the jEveAssets folder. 2. Create a shortcut for the jeveassets.jar file. 3. Open the shortcut's Properties 4. Copy the text in the Target text box (just to be safe) 5. At the start of the Target text box enter explorer “ (note the quote character.) 6. At the end of the Target text box add a closing ” quote char.
The text in the Target box should look something like: explorer "C:\Users\R2N2\bin\EVE\jEveAssets\jeveassets.jar"
7. Click [OK] 8. Click the shortcut and verify that jEveAssets runs.
OK, saunters. Run implies starts quickly. That ain't the Java way. BTW - if it doesn't start my life has been a lie. I'm bad and will feel bad.
9. Right click on the new shortcut and note that there are now
Pin to Start and Pin to taskbar options. Select according to your need.
PS - If you did not copy the text as indicated in step 4 and it turns out you screwed the text up you will be haunted by the mistake for the rest of your life. Your regret for not following the instructions will wake you when you least expect it, screaming from your slumber with the uncopied text hovering there before your eyes. Or not. YMMV
